Summer Reading Lists by Grade
Sacred Heart partners with Risse Brothers Uniforms. Please visit the website and create a customer account. After you create an account, please choose Sacred Heart Catholic School. Please choose red and navy plaid print. Students should wear school uniforms every day, unless given special permission by the principal. It is very important to label every item of uniform clothing with the student’s name.
Middle School Religion Project - Catholic Saint – 2026 Summer Reading
ASSIGNMENT—Read one biography about a Catholic Saint then complete the REQUIRED Reading Response Slide, using the Middle School Summer Reading Google Classroom format—Assignments are due by August 21st.
GUIDELINES for Biographies – Read at least one Book about a Catholic Saint from the list below. Biographies must be at least 90 pages to qualify.
Note: Biographies will be chapter books with limited illustrations throughout the text. No Graphic Novels (ie. books that are heavily illustrated)
The Catholic Saint Biography – 2026 Summer Reading Response Assignments will be a summative grade for Religion during the 1st Nine Weeks of the 2026-2027 School Year.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Select one of the questions from the Reading Response Choice Boards to create a slide ofthe Saint Biography you read.
2. Read the instructions on the board.
3. Add a slide to answer the question.
4. Type the Title, Author, and Genre of the book you read on the slide.
5. Type the answer to the question on the slide and/or add a recording of yourself answering the question on the slide. Include graphics/images.
6. Be sure to answer the question fully using complete sentences and correct grammar.
