History
Sacred Heart Catholic School was founded in 1958 as a parish primary school at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe. With more than 55 years of growth, the school has held fast to its founder, Father Timothy Cronin’s vision of “the big need for Catholic education in the community of Conroe.” For more than half a century, Sacred Heart Catholic School has been a happy place of learning for children!
Curriculum
Sacred Heart Catholic School follows the curriculum guidelines of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston which incorporates the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) as the academic standards that serve as the foundation for curriculum development. Catholic Schools are rooted in the mission of the church bringing faith, life and culture together in harmony. In addition, the National Standards and Benchmarks for effective Catholic Elementary Schools (NSBECS), detail essential components of an academically rigorous and doctrinally sound programs which are rigorous, relevant, research based and infused with catholic faith and traditions.
